The Cascade Lodge in Kintnersville, PA has been an icon in Bucks County for decades. Established by the Knuth family in 1939, the Lodge has been a retreat for families and celebrities from New York City and Philadelphia as well as a destination for those seeking a fine dining experience with a beautiful view of the countryside. With its bubbling springs, trout ponds, and stunning acreage, the Cascade Lodge is truly a unique establishment.
After close to 7 decades of operation, Sandy, Howard Knuth’s widow, decided to put the Cascade Lodge up for sale with Cindy Stys Equestrian & Country Properties, Ltd. The Lodge was purchased on April 5, 2017 and is now under the ownership of Dan Fehlig. Fehlig is a restaurateur with a background of work experience in Manhattan’s most exclusive restaurants, and the owner of a New York City catering company of his own. We’re excited to see how he applies a modern vision to the Cascade Lodge’s historic grounds, and congratulate him on this exciting purchase!
We have a farm on Lehnenberg Rd. and are delighted to see the lodge being rehabbed. We’ll be among the first customers when it opens!
We have not been there in recent years but hope Cascade Lodge will reopen as it certainly was one of our favorite restaurants
My husband and I thrilled that it is being rehabbed. I have been going to the restaurant since I was a child in the sixties. We loved the place so much that we had our wedding reception there 35years ago (8/14/82).
On our anniversary Sunday we drove up to see the lodge. Looks like a massive undertaking. Can’t wait to have a 36th anniversary there next year!
Are you open for business? My family would like to dine there. We always loved the lodge and the hour long ride it took to get there. Please let me know. Thank you.
